Confluence

Confluence is an imaginary place based on my time spent bushwalking in the Perth Hills and the Blue Mountains. I wanted to catch that energy one feels whilst exploring our wilderness and seeing the raw beauty which we are privileged to be part of.

I chose to paint this in a semi-abstract way in order to get the energy into the types of mark-making that help depict that raw earthiness and power of those wild places. I hope you feel it too.
