When putting some pruned Cushion Bush in my copper jug, I was amazed at how weightless it was and how it could reach out sideways for quite a long way without toppling over. I thought it was like a tangle of white string combined with the lightness of a cloud. Then at night I turned on the light and the magical shadows emerged.
I enjoy the intimate subject matter of my close environment and find endless possibilities and meaning in still life. Here, I was particularly concerned about making every element light, airy and weightless.
