Icarus

This painting is the outcome of a workshop based on abstracting the landscape. Through observing the interaction between plants, animals, earth and sky a series of small abstract images were generated. The final image is a result of a combination of these elements triggering connections. In this case, a collection of bird’s bones and clouds have created unexpected drama, and from this the connection to the Greek myth of Icarus and his father Daedulus.
