Under a Spotlight (III)

As part of a series, this painting hopes to invoke, even momentarily, an awareness of that solitary space between an attempt observing a motif and a subsequent distraction which mercilessly intrudes the flow of observation. A distraction, formidably colourful, yet unavoidable, and meaningful only in its ability to refract said attention. An allegory perhaps of the vociferous, relentless and pervasive spectacles of the digital age.
