Flatlands – A Romance of Many Dimensions written by Edwin Abbott, inspired a series of collaged paintings, devising a hypothetical landscape to the nature of ideas.
Think of idea as its linguistic properties, used to contain an innovative and unrealised concept. Its definition encompassing, evolutionary and entwined with human cognition. Once emerged the thought and denouement are often fighting within you. A slurry of ingredients devises an unknowing object drifting in and out of personality. If pursued comes a journey on its own, separate of you and intentions.
Working from the enigmatic to the everyday, I source a variety of materials to develop a system of process, attempting to exhume the intrinsic language of the application.
