Andrew Davoll – Labyrinth
|During my explorations into creative image-making, I have observed that it is typical of the mundane to be ignored almost without thought. Within this inattention, a moment’s glance can uncover a rich dialogue between what is depicted and what is reality.
My aim is to attract the viewer’s attention and invite them to peel back the aesthetics of the mundane. By sifting for meaning and substance, the connection between what is genuine and what is pretence is revealed and removed.
Labyrinth plays with these ideas and involve the viewer in the search for meaning.
