|This piece is my interpretation of a journey between a mother and child. Fable learned that their second
child was autistic when he was just 14 months of age. This child was fascinated by a single train and would not let it go. Fable saw the train as a way into her child’s world, a way to communicate. The train would eventually become more than this. Holding onto a train, was the beginning of a journey in letting go of
preconceived ideas of motherhood and of love.
