Georgina Moss – Tenterfield Landscape
|Two things that I love doing besides art are driving and experiencing the Australian landscape.
In October 2019 I drove from Adelaide to south-east Victoria, then up the Dividing Range, skirting Sydney, to Brisbane. The fragile beauty of the drought stricken ridges and gullies was stunning, and I thought I would spend some time trying to capture it on the way back. However a week later much of the country I had driven through was in flames, so I drove down the New England Highway past Tenterfield and Glen Innes watching clouds of smoke on the ranges.
Tenterfield Landscape is an impression of the bare, bleached hills over which a smoky mist hangs.
