Guardian of Memory, by Carol Clitheroe
Winning Bid: $500.00
Estimate $440 – $880
Carol’s art practice includes murals, painting and sculpture. She loves to work with community groups to produce art works and believes that creativity is very important. She has an art-based business which was started in 1993, painting murals and silk screening. Now she is involved in public art and has worked in Bunbury, Carnarvon, Mandurah and Rockingham, painting murals, creating a 40m2 mosaic for public ablution blocks, working with festivals and community groups and entering the Castaway and Melville sculptural awards. The environment is also close to her heart and she often uses recycled materials in her work. For the last ten years, she has been focusing on clay as the medium that she likes to experiment with and has just acquired a very large kiln to help make bigger pieces.
