| As an artist, who uses that term ever so loosely, I fundamentally was trained as a potter. In 1998, age 17, I began my studies at WASADM. Having obtained an Advanced Diploma in Art and Design, majoring in Studio Ceramics it’s fair to say I have manipulated many mediums since my clay days.
Despite this stray from clay over time, my present works prove I still can’t shake the vessel. My desire to create functional, useful forms with wasteful, non-functioning materials has become my focus. Working with Recycled mediums has given me a renewed ability to see the endless possibilities in deconstruction. |
