The fabric has been dyed with mud gathered from the earth at the base of the Darling Range. The pinks occur from the disintegration of coffee rock along the river which captures the iron as the water travels down. Manganese forms grey mud. A flowing piece symbolising the connection between the earth, body, and soul.

Mud is stubborn. Mud is genderless. Mud is earth in a bad mood. No mud is fluid, mud is soft, and mud is ever-changing.

And so is life.
