Plants make great subjects with their variety of shapes, colours and intricacies. They are always changing, I’ve used them for plenty of drawings and paintings. My latest still-life paintings are heavily influenced by abstract expressionism. I enjoy the process of applying paint in a loose and fast way. I’m trying to work in an experimental way rather than applying a thought out image to the canvas. My goal is to produce bold work and to learn more with each painting.
