Claire Davenhall is an International Artist who graduated from the oldest established fine art institution in Scotland, Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art Sculpture in 2000, where she participated in The International Soapstone Carving Event at North Karelia Polytechnic in Finland, completed a Erasmus Exchange Program with Athens School of Fine Art, while studying under Professor Papagiannis and exhibited at the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh in 2000.
In 2004, Claire studied a Post-Graduate Degree in Art Education and became a Lecturer in Fine Art Sculpture, Ceramics, Life Drawing & Photography, was proudly awarded WINNER of the ‘Governors Award for Excellence in Teaching & Learning’ and nominated for a ‘National Beacon Award in Art & Design’ in 2006/7. She has been registered as a Professional Teaching Artist with the TRB -Teachers Registration Board in WA since 2009.
She migrated to Western Australia at the end of 2007, where she has focused on exhibiting her work in beautiful locations such as Sculpture by the Sea in Cottesloe, Swell Sculpture Festival in Queensland, Castaways in Rockingham and Brighton Jetty Classic Sculptures in South Australia. She was awarded Winner of the Shinju Matsuri ‘A View to Asia’ in Broome 2016 and Major Prize Winner of the Drift Installation Awards 2017.
