The impact of climate change is wreaking devastating havoc on the environment with intensifying extreme weather conditions set to continue.
As the planet warms vulnerable communities are increasingly exposed to the devastating consequences of fire and flood. Famine, disease, species extinction and the mass displacement of climate refugees all on target as the scientific modeling has predicted.
The darkness of this photographic work is intended to evoke loss and grief. It is a work about a wounded ecology desperately seeking urgent political and social change, intervention and mitigation. It is also a work about hope and transformation. Fire symbolic of transcendence, renewal and re-growth is a call to arms amidst the fury.
