Travelling Vicariously by Linda Fardoe
$1,500.00
Medium: Archival Giclee, archival inks and gel pens on Canson Rag
Size: H 405 x W 1415 x D 40
Content: My 2020 plans to explore the Tasmanian rainforests were disrupted by COVID-19. Instead I have been travelling in my drawings inspired by a friend’s photos of her experience. The forest has become a metaphor for my mind. I travel vicariously through an imagined land with trepidation and optimism, fearing for the worst while hoping for the best.
Process: I first created a traditional pen and ink drawing, 150cm x 30cm on Canson paper. This was professionally scanned, then digitally manipulated by me and printed by Fitzgerald Fine Art Printers on Canson Rag paper as an archival giclee. I continued to draw on the print with archival inks and gel pens until I felt it was finished. This process makes each image unique.
