Julie Podstolski received her Diploma of Fine Arts, majoring in painting, from the School of Fine Arts at University of Canterbury in New Zealand in 1980. After years of working in oils she switched to coloured pencils in the mid-1990s. She is a full time artist living in Western Australia. Julie holds solo exhibitions every couple of years, the most recent being An Italian Dream in April 2021 at Early Work Gallery in South Fremantle. She has won numerous awards and her art is well represented in private and public collections here and overseas.
